Demand stays high. Supply is uneven. Healthcare, logistics, retail, finance and manufacturing employers compete for people who know JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, Go, Swift or Kotlin. Front end roles often require React, Angular or Vue. Back end roles need API design, database work and cloud services on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud. Mobile teams look for iOS and Android experience. DevOps openings call for Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines. Entry level hires still need a portfolio and clean coding habits, while senior hires must lead architecture decisions, review other people's code, and talk to product managers without losing the room.
Many hiring teams interview for theory and ignore how the engineer actually works. These teams ask puzzle questions that do not show code quality. Hiring managers skip practical assessment or rely on a single take home project that no one reviews. They wait too long to decide. Strong candidates accept other offers. Teams also write job posts that list every language, framework, build tool, cloud provider and database the company has ever used, which pushes good engineers to apply somewhere with a clearer picture. Good engineers pass on those posts. The real failure is skipping the daily work test.

How candidates are assessed
We screen software engineers with a code review and a practical assessment. Candidates read real code and point out bugs, naming issues, security gaps and performance risks. Then they complete a short coding task that mirrors the work your team does. We check their git history, pull requests and open source work if available. We verify work authorization and references. You see only candidates who pass that bar.
